They married when my mum was 18. Since my dad passed away a few years ago, my mum and I have spoken often about the space he left behind and the one thing she would wish for. Created using family photographs and AI, the film explores love, memory, grief and our growing ability to recreate the people and moments we have lost. The photograph on the mantelpiece was taken on their wedding day. The older woman is a character. My mum would have killed me if I’d used a recent photograph of her.
